April 21, 2025 – The Wellness Evidence Foundation (WEF), a newly launched non-profit dedicated to evidence-based wellness, has announced its commitment to two pivotal studies under its Truth in Biometrics Initiative. These studies aim to validate which wellness interventions genuinely enhance human longevity, addressing the $1.5 trillion wellness industry’s critical evidence gap.
The dual-study approach includes:
- Wellness Circuit Study: A comprehensive analysis of premium and home-based wellness interventions, such as hyperbaric oxygen and red light therapy, to identify those that measurably improve longevity biomarkers using smartwatch data and manual tracking.
- Longevity Equity Study: A community-driven effort to translate validated findings into accessible, evidence-based protocols for underserved populations, ensuring equitable access to effective wellness practices.
Set to begin in 2025, the three-year research program will involve 2,000 participants and generate over 25,000 data points, with findings published by 2028. WEF’s holistic framework will assess physical, mental, and social dimensions of longevity, aiming to redirect $45 billion in wellness spending and improve key biomarkers by 30% by 2029.
“Our dual-study strategy is a game-changer, combining cutting-edge science with a commitment to inclusivity,” said Gavriel Shaw, WEF Chairman. “We’re determined to uncover what truly works and make those insights available to all.”
WEF invites public and corporate support through donations and partnerships to fund this transformative research. For more details or to get involved, visit https://www.wellnessevidence.foundation.
